Stratford Grangecon prove too strong for Balto

Stratford Grangecon prove too strong for Balto

Stratford Grangecon had a comfortable victory over close neighbours Baltinglass in round 3 of the Campus Oil division 2 league. The final score was Stratford Grangecon 2:14 Baltinglass 0:6.
Indiscipline from the home side played a significant part in this match. The Baltinglass team were never comfortable with the pace of the game and play was littered with fouls. Top scorer for the game was Shane Byrne who scored 9 points from free kicks. Alan Norton scored the two goals, Matt Manley scored 3 points, Kieran Byrne & Mikey Carroll scored 1 point each.
The two points awarded from this victory puts Stratford Grangecon in second place in the league, just one point behind current league leaders Dunlavin.
