Give Respect – Get Respect is an awareness campaign that seeks to ensure that Gaelic Games are promoted and played in a positive, fair and enjoyable manner and where Players, Coaches, Spectators and Referees Give Respect – Get Respect from each other.
The RESPECT campaign was introduced in 2010 and applies to all levels and amongst all players regardless of age, competition or ability. The key participants in the Give Respect – Get Respect campaign are not just the Players themselves but Coaches, Clubs, Parents, Referees and Supporters.
It is now over 7 years since the GAA introduced the campaign nationally and we are proud to state that the principles and values of the Give Respect – Get Respect initiative are values at the very core of our club Stratford Grangecon.
It was made a condition of membership that every member of Stratford Grangecon must read the code of conduct, submit a signed copy and henceforth adhere to the applicable club code of conduct.
The code of conduct for adult members and also the Code of Best Practice/Behaviour for Juvenile members can be found in the information and downloads page of the website. It is considered good practice to continually review our codes periodically and to facilitate any adjustments or amendments where deemed necessary.
We welcome all observations, so if you are a member of our club or a member of our community who is perhaps thinking of joining us, please send in any comments you may have so that we can continue to ensure that all members maintain a positive, fair and enjoyable experience.
