At the Wicklow GAA County Convention 2016, Stratford/Grangecon GAA Club, proposed a motion for the establishment of an ‘over-arching committee’ to deliver on the following objectives:
To identify the reasons why our teams, appear to be under performing at all levels and all grades throughout the county.
To devise a solution based strategy to improve the quality of our players both at club and county level.
To ascertain where necessary resources may be obtained to implement this strategy.
Leinster GAA have started this review
Please see below the Wicklow Gaa review presentation prepared by Games Development ÁRAS LAIGHEAN Operations Manager Mr Shane Flanagan.
It is very important that all clubs discuss this at their next club executive meetings. Stratford Grangecon will be discussing it in detail at our next executive meeting in June (details will be sent out via the club clg texting service). All members are asked to review the document and attend the next club meeting as this is a real opportunity for you to have an input into the future of Wicklow Gaa.
This is a very comprehensive review and it is a very big deal!
If anyone needs convincing, just take a look at the list of very highly respected team of experts who are leading the review.

It is important that you express your views and remember that even the smallest voice can have a positive change, after all, this very review originates from a motion put forward by arguably the smallest Gaa Club by population in Wicklow, Stratford Grangceon Clg!
Please get involved and spread the word.
